A creamy and flavorful peanut chutney with a hint of spice and tanginess.

Ingredients

Base Ingredients

  • ½ cup Peanuts (roasted)
  • 5-6 Shallots (Sambar Onion)
  • 1 Red Chilli (Kashmiri)
  • ½ inch Ginger
  • ½ tsp Vinegar
  • Pepper powder to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required

Directions

  1. Prepare the ingredients

    • Peel and roughly chop the shallots.
    • Break the red chilli into pieces.
    • Slice the ginger into smaller bits for easy grinding.
  2. Grind the ingredients

    • Add peanuts, shallots, red chilli, ginger, vinegar, pepper powder, and salt to a mixer jar.
    • Start grinding and add water gradually in between to help blend smoothly.
  3. Adjust consistency

    • Ensure the chutney remains slightly thick and not too runny by controlling the water quantity.
    • Blend to a smooth or slightly coarse paste, as per preference.
  4. Serve and store

    • Transfer the chutney to a bowl and serve fresh.
    • Store in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 2 days.
